at God through the lens of Jesus himself. As Jesus said, “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father (John 14:9).” Or as the apostle John stated, “The only-begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father he has exegeted (explained fully) Him (John 1:18).”1 Christian faith is not about affirmation of doctrinal propositions: it is about life, participating in koinonia of the Father, Son, and Spirit. This is the goal of the incarnation. He became one of us so that we might know him “up close and personal.”
